John Edward Terrell, Ph.D., is the Regenstein Curator of Pacific Anthropology at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, and Professor of Anthropology at the University of Illinois Chicago. His two most recent books are A Talent for Friendship (Oxford University Press, 2014) and Understanding the Human Mind (Routledge, 2020, written with his son). His CV can be found here.
