In over 19 years of counseling I have helped all types of clients, with all types of mental health and/or drug and alcohol problems. I have over the years due to the need specialized in treating depression, trauma, and in drug and alcohol treatment. I love working with children and adults, and I am very creative, so I enjoy using play and art in therapy. I am board certified in neurofeedback, and I also provide biofeedback. I incorporate it into treatment when appropriate. I am also trained to do EMDR for treating trauma.

My ideal client is not one specific chief complaint or one target population. My ideal client has an amount of self-awareness that can be worked with and heightened so that when he/she/they leave therapy and go out in the world independently, they can help themselves be the best person they can be daily. For example, I can very well have two clients with the same complaint and implement two very different treatment plans. This is only possible by using the biopsychosocial model.
