I see psychotherapy as a creative, collaborative process to understand the painful patterns and issues interfering with your leading a more satisfying, fulfilling life. Psychotherapy can be a life-changing experience, but reaching out for help can feel daunting. I'm a clinical psychologist trained in relational psychoanalysis at NYU, and Harvard University's Massachusetts Mental Health Center. I've been practicing, teaching, and supervising psychotherapy with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures for 25 years.
I'm an Executive Editor for the journal, Psychoanalytic Dialogues, and I've written articles and presented at professional conferences nationally and internationally on issues such as creativity and writer's block, intergenerational and migration trauma, loss and mourning. I'm interested in, and sensitive to issues of acculturation and cultural identity.
