Announcement icon I am now just one click away via teletherapy!
I am committed to being your strongest advocate. I believe in your unlimited capacity to grow and change, and my passion is to help you improve your quality of life. Together, we will find solutions and create long-term changes. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are seeking support for depression, anxiety, college adjustment, life transitions, sexuality/identity, stress management, relationship difficulties, and trauma.
Collaboratively, we will examine difficult emotions, understand ongoing issues, and set goals for change in a warm, non-judgmental space. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques, we will work to improve communication skills, increase positive emotions, and encourage self-acceptance.
It is my goal to help you identify the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and use this connection to make changes in your life for the better. Reaching out takes courage. I am here to help when you need me. Pinky promise.

Are you having a difficult time managing your emotions, maintaining relationships, or identifying your goals in life? DBT skills group aims to help participants regulate their emotions, improve impulse control, develop coping skills necessary to solving their own problems and achieve desired goals, and navigate relationship conflicts. Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Support Group

Fibromyalgia and other Chronic Pain conditions can be painful, confusing, frustrating, and isolating. The “unknown” nature of chronic pain makes it difficult for loved ones and doctors to fully understand your experience. Join Talia Shiovitz, LMSW, a social worker living with Fibromyalgia, to develop coping skills for pain and connect with a community of people who understand your experience. Although there is increasing research regarding the many impacts of chronic pain, which may include, but is not limited to, depression, anxiety, fatigue, sleep challenges, and headaches, it can be healing to share your experiences with others who are going through the similar challenges.

Anxiety Support Group (Virtual)

Anxiety can touch every aspect of our lives - work, academics, family, and social relationships. Our first impulse is to hide our anxiety, to not burden our friends, and just get through our lives. But almost 20% of people in the US struggle with anxiety. There is no reason to feel alone with our worries. Groups provide support around managing the challenges of living with anxiety with an emphasis on managing anxiety symptoms, including racing thoughts, insomnia, difficulties reaching out to others, setting boundaries, improving self-care, and more.
