Announcement icon Dr. Claudia Ma is providing online therapy for treatment of anxiety related to coronovirus/COVID-19 for NY/TX residents. Accepting patients!
As a psychologist licensed in both NY and TX, my aim is to help people understand and overcome challenges that are restricting their well being, relationships, and effectiveness at work. For adults, I specialize in these issues: high-achievers, stress management, relationship issues, life transitions, parenting, marital or family conflicts, anxiety and depression (e.g., social anxiety, covid-19 related). It is truly rewarding to watch my clients become more self-regulated, more satisfied in their relationships, and more equipped to handle life’s stressors through learned coping skills.
For younger children (ages 2-7), I provide consultation for parents related to children’s mood and behavioral concerns. For preteens to young adults (ages 8-18) I specialize in using CBT to help them with anxiety, school refusal, social anxiety, performance anxiety as well as executive functioning, time management, and emotion regulation skills.
Prior to moving to Austin TX, I lived in NYC and was a lecturer at Columbia University-School Psych program where I taught graduate students and supervised their field training. I have the following advanced training: For couples: PACT: Psychobiological Approach to Couples; For Children/Parents: Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT); For Trauma-EMDR
